Historic Landmark

The Power House is on the National Register of Historic Places, a stunning Landmark right on the beautiful Housatonic River,  in the lovely village of Housatonic, 4 miles north of Great Barrington, in the idyllic Western Berkshires. The space consists of:

  • the 4,000sf Turbine Room, without floor plates or columns, a ceiling height of 50 feet, and a gantry on tracks.

  • the 2,000sf Hydropower and Transformer Rooms, with a ceiling height of 25 feet.

  • the 10,000sf Boiler House, open to the skies, with complete walls and 30 feet tall windows: a mesmerizing industrial garden.

  • a massive Water Tower, iconic symbol of the village of Housatonic.

  • an access road including parking.

A train line, mostly used for freight but sometimes for historic train tours, passes right by the Power House and an old picturesque train  station.

The Power House is available for Film and Photo productions and has electricity.
